nadine byrne is a swedish artist who works in a variety of mediums including, video, sound, drawing and
sculpture. her sculpture work primarily consists of wearable textiles and costumes. these pieces range
from simple props, such as her ‘balloon noose’ to more elaborate works like ‘the shaman suit’. these works
all use the human body as their frame, relying in part on a participant to complete the work. the more
elaborate works rely on elements of history and mysticism.
