Rain water is a largely untapped resource, especially in many developing countries where clean water is scarce. Water harvesting consists of three main components: a catchment area (generally a roof), a gutter system and a water storage area. The water storage area is by far the most expensive portion of this system, which makes it out of reach for many families. The RainDrops system simply allows people to adapt standard plastic bottles to an existing gutter system to collect rain water.

The Anemona visually unsteady lamp by Ukrainian industrial designer Igor Pinigin is just a lovely little design. The main idea of this concept is that the lamp is able to change its position due to the presence of heavy balls in the bottom. The lamp can be freely rotated and tilted, also several lamps can be assembled into dynamic figures.

I am gold. I am two. I am ceramic.
I was made by hand moulded and shaped and glazed. I am unique.
I am like a sculpture, a vase, a bowl.
There is no other like me.
We are linked like a Siamese twin. I am a computer. I am an amplifier.Together we are perfect.
I will help you to stay in contact with your friends, to watch movies and play games. I can assist you with your work while you are listening to music like you never heard music before. I will help you to find things, people, places, new experiences.
I am there for you when you need me and sleep while you don't. I wake up on the push of a button and do for you what you ask me to.
I am not a television or record player or calculator i am all of that at the same time and more.
I am fast and silent and beautiful.

the new Chocolate lamp is 100% calorie-free! A considerate present for a dieter, this modern table lamp from the Nemo division of Cassina is decadent nevertheless. The high-gloss stem and base resemble a chocolate fountain – it looks as if melted chocolate were flowing from within the lamp.

This will have an influence on your impression of the object, the cognition of the surrounding room and the way you identify yourself with the Object. "

That's how "USB" was born. The imagery screenprinted on the front label shows an old vine built out of binary code that translates as "Peltier Station", and has roots that form the recognized USB computer symbol. The back label leaves it to the viewer to fill in the letters "port" in underlined slots (i.e. im____ant for "important") The back label took three months of TTB/Cola deliberation before they finally approved it - not without telling our Client they had never encountered someone going so far out of their way to prove a point.

YO is a rechargeable and wireless stereo speaker docking station for digital audio players. The system is portable, waterproof, and suitable for indoor and outdoor use. Inside the dock base are lithium-ion (rechargeable) batteries that are capable of powering the stereo system for hours when the unit is disconnected from a power source. The design intention is that a renewable energy source such as solar power, wind power, or hydroelectricity charges the battery packs when the stereo is not in use.
The speakers also contain lithium-ion batteries in their base, and recharge when placed in the stereo base portals. The batteries also provide high-density ballast enabling the speakers to stand upright when removed from the charging ports. The speaker enclosure is designed to amplify sound. The speakers are mounted in the rear of the speaker housing. Similar to a megaphone, the front portion of the speaker enclosure is extruded to increase and direct sound. Two removable rods are mounted between the stereo speakers to stabilize the stereo assembly and provide a lifting handle when the unit is transported.

Wood joinery is functional. In the past the joinery was all made by hand. For this it was kept relatively simple. With the present day machines it is possible to make these joints faster and more accurate. Joinery made in this way is decorative as well as functional.
With this in mind there were several ways to go. The idea lends itself for different options such as child furniture with the joinery being a story, a more technical approach where the joint itself is the instruction manual. Or a subtle visual joy where the joints are beautiful and functional.
The result is a desk completely made with a CNC Router. With the joints as the decorative element in it. The desk is designed to show the joinery and give it prominent place, it is an example of how this idea of joinery can be implemented in many different ways.

LE CUBE DESIGN LANGUAGE IS INTEGRATED WITH THE NEW TV USER-INTERFACE:
The Le Cube design consistency is carefully applied on the digital user interface. It is a rare feat for both the hardware design, and the on-screen UI to be designed from the same point of view: White, black and translucent graphic blocks highlight different information hierarchy, while the principle of “information zoning” is the heart of the design. The top left zone is always the main header, while the bottom right zone is always the navigation window. This easy to understand logic of zoning is constant through the 600+ pages of user interface.
