‘The Bale Backers’ are designed to make sitting on a straw bale more comfortable. They can be knocked into a bale with a mallet and then easily removed and stored.

‘Zippy’ is a simple everyday chair made from half a sheet of plywood. It is held together using nothing but 20 releasable zip ties. No glue is used to hold the chair together making it quick and easy to assemble and even quicker to take apart.

The Contour table and chair are part of a capsule furniture collection which continues his signature style of sensual and curvaceous forms – this time however working on a larger scale. The final shapes strongly reflect the design process, based around folding flexible and malleable materials such as paper, to create a series of dynamic curves and forms.

The chair exudes a simple elegance, and has been designed to look like a single sculpted sheet. A ribbon-like profile draws the eye effortlessly around a series of loops terminating in slender legs that conceal their true strength. The lines of a traditional table have been elongated, and embellished with curves. Concaved sections play on negative space, and give the table a ‘lightness’ that contrasts with the weight and solidity of the hardwood from which it is made.

‘Flip’ is designed to look as if it has been made from the tops of two chairs. It uses the wall to support it and when flipped over can be adjusted in height.

The Copenhagen chair seduces the eye through harmonious curves and dynamic gesture. Many chairs are dissected in structural sections that don’t work together neither in function or language. This chair unites all sections of the chair in two that work together to give strength and stability. The chair is made of Beach Veneer and Oak wood.
